Dez Bryant loses diamond earring during Cowboys victory

Dez Bryant’s stat line from the Dallas Cowboys win over the New York Giants: three catches, 104 yards, one touchdown and one lost diamond earring.

In the fourth quarter, the Cowboys star rookie fell hard to the ground while laying out to catch a 48-yard pass from Jon Kitna. When he hit the turf, both the ball and one of his two diamond earrings jarred loose.

For the first time in his brief NFL career, Bryant’s confidence on the football field waned. But it wasn’t because he missed the catch. It was because he lost the earring.

“I really was a little worried,” Bryant said.

Miracle finish lifts California team into sectional playoffs

Miracle finishes always bear watching, but one in California on Friday night took even more precedence when it lifted Encino (Calif.) Crespi High past Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame, the very team it knocked off, 34-28, with a remarkable final play.

Check it out. At 0:25 #72 doesn’t even attempt to make a play. He looks as though he doesn’t want to tackle the ball carrier. I mean #1 is fast but you can’t at least reach for the player? Could he be working for the other team and wanting the player to score? Just saying…
