Usually I refrain from passing judgment on people I do not know, especially when they are being tagged heavily by the media. 8 out of 10 times I try to provide the athlete with the benefit of the doubt, as people will generally seek out their 15 minutes of fame. But in this case, I have to give Albert Haynesworth 15 YEARS of shame!

Disgusting, un-loyal, pathetic, horrible, repulsive, a piece of $#!^; _________ (I’ll leave this blank here for anything else you may care to add upon the completion of this article).

Rick Ross Rolling to the Ring with Pacquiao

30 Apr

by Chris McCoy

When Manny Pacquiao fights Shane Mosley on May 7th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Rick Ross will escort the champ to the ring. The conspiracy theorist in me can’t help but think this is a subliminal shot at Floyd “Money” Mayweather, who for one reason or another, has yet to fight Pacquiao.

Ross, who confirmed the appearance via twitter, met Pacquiao during the Nike “Boom” Ad Campaign, has openly feuded with both Floyd and close friend 50 Cent. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it’s an attempt to get Floyd to finally fight him. Either way it adds an interesting dynamic to the bout next week.

It could just be that Pacquiao’s life-long friend and assistant trainer, Buboy Fernandez, digs Ross’ music, as he’s seen in the video below wearing a Maybach Music Group t-shirt with the Blowin Money Fast instrumental playing in the background. No word yet on whether or not that’s the song that Ross will perform during the ring walk, but we’ll find out next Saturday.

One More Year: New York Knicks Spend 14.2 Mil to keep Chauncey Billups

27 Apr

The New York Knicks decided not to buy out the contract of point guard Chauncey Billups on Wednesday, ensuring he will be with the team for his full $14.2 million salary for the 2011-12 season.

The Knicks had until Friday to pick up the option or pay Billups a $3.7 million buyout.

“Chauncey, Amare [Stoudemire] and Chauncey [Billups] are a great nucleus, as we continue to look to improve our team going into the offseason,” Knicks president of basketball operations Donnie Walsh said in a statement. “Chauncey is an extremely talented and experienced point guard — we are very happy to have him back.”

The 13-year veteran missed three of the Knicks’ four playoff games, all losses, to the Boston Celtics after straining a knee tendon late in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference first-round series.
