LeBron James Is For The Children

When is the last time you saw a Lion in a robe?

by Jumaane Corley

This morning “The LeBron’s” cartoon debuted on the “internets” (c) Dallas Penn. With it came a catchy theme song, good illustrations, an ill talking lion and more product placement than you can shake a a stick at. Which is not a swipe at LeBron or the creators of the cartoon because I’m sure that those advertising dollars are what’s helping the cartoon be presented to us in the first place. It also leads me to believe that while the message and overall presentation of the cartoon is aimed at kids, the creators would also like the parents to be entertained or involved as well because I’m pretty sure that the only kids that would get the Reservoir Dog Reference scene are Quentin Tarantino’s Godchildren. All in all I think the cartoon has potential to relay some messages that are updated and pertain directly to the modern kid, all while getting adults hip to the new Beats by Dre headphones or the Fall line of Gucci. See win/win situation.

P.S. It would be BEAUTIFUL if this provided another run of “The LeBrons” color ways for his future shoes like they did for the LeBron VI.
